Jazz includes an upbeat class focusing on strength, flexibility and conditioning technique and progressions including turns, kicks and leaps through across the floor progressions and center combinations.
Ballet is the foundation of all forms of dance. Beginning with the basic positions and working through advanced barre and center work, ballet class emphasizes correct body placement and proper movement of head and arms.
Lyrical combines ballet and jazz techniques with emphasis on expression through movement.
Similar to Lyrical, but incorporating more parallel body alignment, Contemporary class allows dancers freedom of expression, interpretation of music, principles of fall and recovery, control, breathing, balance and contraction/release.
Hip Hop is a high energy type of dance, originating from funk and street dance. The classes focus on different stylized techniques, rhythm, and isolations. Hip Hop class encourages dancers to engage in freestyle to help build style and confidence.
Musical Theatre class will focus on learning proper dance technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows.
Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. We place an emphasis on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun.
Acro class focuses on enhancing dancers agility, flexibility, & strength. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique, teaching such skills as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, ariels, balance and contortion tricks, all each student's individual level of experience.
Pre-Pointe & Beginner Pointe class can be taken on flat or in pointe shoes at the instructors discrection. All pointe classes are designed for students with previous ballet training. Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles.
In this class dancers are introduced to basic ballet and tap vocabulary, while exploring movement and music in a fun, creative way, focusing on rhythm and coordination. Dancers will also work on classroom skills, such as following directions, listening, sharing, waiting their turn and general socialization.
In these two classes, Ballet and Tap fundamentals are taught using proper terminology and body placement. Learning techniques are developed to give the student an awareness of body, rhythm and balance while continuing to use fun, age-appropriate music and imaginative games.

Our adult classes include stretching, conditioning and learning new and exciting Jazz/Funk choreography each week.
